How to Know You Have DMSD?

DMSD is a medical condition which causes chronic pain and stiffness in the neck and head areas. Since it involves lower jaw, nerve areas, neck and surrounding muscles, the patient feels pain and discomfort in teeth and face as well. The clear symptoms of DMSD include headache, migraine, tinnitus, myofascial pain, Temporomandibular joint disorder, sleep/arousal disorder, pulpitis, unstable dental arch form, degenerative joint disease, tooth fracture/damage, changes in brain chemistry and neurotransmitter balance, restricted range of motion and postural adaptation, poor airway control, parafunction, malocclusion, and bruxism mainly.

DMSD can occur with anyone regardless of age and gender. So, if you are experiencing any of the aforementioned symptoms, consult the dentist immediately.

DMSD Examination & Treatment

DMSD examination is carried out when symptoms last and don’t go with traditional medicine. We carry out a comprehensive examination consisting of objective tests, evaluations, and discussion of the headache and medical history, symptoms and pharmacological backgrounds to assess patients for DMSD. We analyze mandibular range of motion (ROM) disability, dental force, and cervical range of motion too to assist physical examination before recommending Trudenta Scan.

Why Undergo ROM Assessment?

ROM assessment is, in fact, a very important assessment because it clearly determines the imbalances. It measures the cervical range of motion of an individual and indicates the disabilities. The limited cervical range of motion and the jaw joints that glide with noise or vibrations serve as the clear indicators of dental force imbalances.

The treatment to manage the pain and balance the dental foundation vary form one patient to the other and is provided according to the degree of pain and imbalances.

Why Opt to TruDenta?

While ROM is important, TruDenta has emerged as a very effective system for evaluating and treating dental force imbalances and DMSD. It is a needle-free and drug-free treatment to alleviate and control DMSD related problems. It measures the presence and amount of imbalance at closing of the mouth and during chewing and helps both dentists and patients know the problem areas and the teeth that are generating the most force. In addition, it assists dentists know what adjustment are required in the mouth to achieve a balanced dental foundation.

The TruDenta scan is comprised of orthotic rehabilitation, low level laser therapy, ultrasound therapy, in office therapy, trigger point therapy and transcutaneous therapy.

Contact us if you are experiencing constant headache, dizziness or TMJ disorder because we specialize in providing TruDenta treatment and relief against chronic conditions.
